Ark-0 Wallet is a wallet for the Ark-0 test network that you install on Windows, macOS, Linux or Android. Its keys come from 24 recovery words and stay on your device, encrypted with your password. It asks both wallet.ark0.si and wallet2.ark0.si for balances and the state of transactions and compares the two answers; a payment is final after 6 blocks, once the wallet has checked those blocks' signatures itself.

SHA256SUMS lists the SHA-256 of every file of the release and is signed with the Ark-0 release key, the key that signs the node releases too. The hashes on this page are copied from it. On a system set to another language, gpg and sha256sum may print the messages quoted below in that language.
gpg --import release-signing-key.asc
gpg --verify SHA256SUMS.asc SHA256SUMSIt should say Good signature from "Ark-0 release signing key (duncan0k) <dev@ark0.si>", with the fingerprint shown below. A warning that the key is not certified with a trusted signature only means that you have not certified it yourself.sha256sum --ignore-missing -c SHA256SUMS prints OK after your file's name. On a Mac, shasum -a 256 FILE in Terminal, and on Windows, Get-FileHash FILE in PowerShell, print its SHA-256 (PowerShell in capital letters): it must be the one in SHA256SUMS, which is also the one on this page. For the Android app, apksigner verify --print-certs ark0-wallet-0.1.2-android.apk, from the Android SDK build tools, prints the SHA-256 of its certificate, which must be the one above.

Open the wallet and create a new wallet, then write its 24 recovery words down on paper. Or choose "Restore a wallet" and enter your words, or paste a backup code of the web wallet: you get back the addresses that web wallet had. Test coins come from the faucet.
Recovery words are like a backup code: whoever has them can move the wallet's coins, and we will never ask for them. They work in Ark-0 Wallet alone; other wallets do not derive the same keys from them. Ark-0 Wallet is experimental software and has not been audited by a third party.
